Josef-David-Foundation

The Josef David Foundation is a non-profit organization established on the initiative of DBK's company owner Josef David, who passed away in 2001.

The foundation aims to make a contribution to the German-French friendship and thus to mutual understanding between the Germans and the French.

The foundation therefore supports and promotes regional developments and cross-border social and cultural neighbourhood projects in the Pamino region - Southern Palatinate, Middle Upper Rhine and North Alsace.

Projects

• Regular promotion of language teaching in kindergartens as well as student exchanges in various regional schools

• Chordial: Cross-border concert series

• International meeting place in Niederbronn-les-bains

• Cross-border sing/exchange at schools with Serge Rieger

• Partnership between the BZA & Wissembourg Schools: Support for the school garden project

• Exhibition Judaism in the Wissembourg area

• Awarding of the Michel Bréal Prize every two years

• Senior Citizens Network Pamina

• Holiday stays for children (language courses)

• Chawwerusch Station Theatre | “Landauer Leben” | A theatre path through Jewish history in Landau

• Cross-border meditation path

• Christian UHL large format portrait series of people from the PAMINA area

• Nature conservation at the Sauer Delta - Training for young people in Karsruhe/Rappenwört in cooperation with CINE (Centre d'Initiation à la Nature et l'Environnement)
